Some thoughts on assembling a team..

Some thoughts on assembling a team..

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

- Confucius?

After years of being a lone wolf, it has increasingly become apparent to me the benefits of having a multi disciplinary team. I’ll go straight to the point below;

To start things off, I plan to assemble a team that will solve bite-sized problems and use prototypes to demonstrate solutions. Proficiencies in software, architecture, art and engineering are important and this versatility will be required to produce elegant results. The overall goal goal is to have quality contributors creating quality solutions to interesting problems.

There’s no shortage of interesting problems but the skill set of the team will determine the problems we’re most positioned for. Or should I start by defining a problem and then finding a team to match it? The latter sounds the most plausible. I will plan to attend at least 10 conferences or seminars or meet ups to network and find the perfect fit

What will be the first project? Check back for the next post.
