Ultrasonic cutting tool

The Wondercutter is a portable cutting tool that uses ultrasonic technology to easily cut through plastic, acrylic, leather, ABS, PCB, PC, formex, rubber, basswood and kraftplex just to name a few. It effectively lowers the coefficient of friction by vibrating 40,000 times every second to make cutting plastic as easy as cutting through cheese.

Right now, ultrasonic technology is mostly used for non invasive cleaning or crack detection in metallic parts, but its interesting to see it being applied differently. Curious to what other process can be made more efficient by using ultrasonics.
