Instant security for your smart home devices

Instant security for your smart home devices

In this day and age where everything is hackable, your smart home systems (devices collecting personal data) are not 100% safe. Devices like your smart security cameras, doorlocks/doorbells, TVs, Nest thermostat and even your Amazon echo are all at risk! Hackers with an intermediate skill level have a good chance of accessing your network through these devices.

Akita is the proposed fix to the problem. All you have to do is sync it with your router and let it go to work! It will monitor the network activity of all your connected devices and report any unusual activity. Once it notices anything fraudulent, it will let you know and immediately shut the affected device down. My take is if Akita is mostly a software product, what makes it so immune from being hacked itself? Shouldn't the security be amped up on the device itself?
